Snippet optimization tips
Mind the pixels, not the characters
Google truncates by width. A title full of wide letters (W, M) is cut sooner than one with thin letters (i, l).
Front-load keywords
Put your most important keyword near the start of the title so it survives truncation and grabs attention.
Write for clicks
Treat the meta description as ad copy. A compelling, benefit-driven line lifts click-through even when rankings don't move.
Keep titles ~580px
Aim for roughly 50–60 characters on desktop. Going over means Google appends an ellipsis and your message gets cut.
Check mobile too
Most searches are mobile, where titles and descriptions wrap differently. Always preview both views.
Avoid duplication
Every page needs a unique title and description. Duplicates confuse Google and waste your snippet real estate.
